WHERE GSM SUBSCRIBERS SAY IT PINCHES THE MOST

Subscribers were asked questions as regards these negative experiences in particular to any of the gsm telecommunication companies.

The WTIG Survey revealed the situation as regards subscriber’s perception on which network they found to be the number one culprit as regards the aforementioned unfair treatments. The following are the conclusions drawn from the result returned from the survey.

The survey question, “From your experience & observation, which network is the number one culprit of unsolicited adverts & offers” posed to respondents got the following return from the respondents. Glo got 41,182 respondents stating it is number one culprit, Airtel got 32,208, MTN got 29,551, 9Mobile got 29,041, while Ntel got 17 respondents.

The data returned from the survey did not capture the number of subscribers per network provider; rather it captured the combination of network providers the respondents are using. Though from the few numbers of combinations Ntel featured in, one can easily conclude that Ntel did not have the lion share as regards subscribers who were respondents, but regardless of this, the fact remains that Ntel had the lowest number of respondent stating it as the number one culprit for unsolicited adverts & offers.

The survey also measured the perception of subscribers as regards the network provider that is most guilty of unwarranted phone credit deductions. The following are the responses gotten for the question, ““From your experience & observation, which network is the number one culprit of unwarranted phone credit deductions?”

Data gathered shows that Ntel did not have any subscriber stating it as the number one culprit when it comes to unwarranted phone credit deductions, with the next best telecommunication company being MTN. 26,731 respondent identified MTN as the number one culprit as regards unwarranted phone credit deductions, and the figure put MTN as a far 2nd best.
