Perception of Telecom Subscribers on Unfair Treatment from the Network Providers- Part1

Details of survey distribution: Number of administered questionnaires (both electronic & paper copy) is 250,000. Number of returned questionnaires is 132,007. Study area/location is Nigeria – FCT, Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Rivers. Response rate is 52.80%.
One of the drawn conclusions from the WTIG June 2018 GSM subscribers survey is that the Nigerian GSM subscriber’s community is largely a two Sims ownership, this was evident with the majority of respondents (43.89%) stating that they are subscribers of two GSM network company.
Data speaks: 18,481 respondents answered that they are subscribers to only one network. 57,944 respondents ticked for two networks. 43,151 ticked three networks, while 12,431 respondents marked four networks. Top 3 combinations are – 9Mobile, Airtel, Glo & MTN = 12,431 respondents. Airtel & MTN = 11,001. Glo & MTN = 10,513. The landscape is largely a two network customer profile.
